Welcome to the City of Edmonton Archives' virtual exhibits site, where we draw upon the records held at the Archives to tell stories about our city and our history.

The records we highlight in the exhibits are drawn from many different fonds and collections1.

If you would like to learn more on a particular record (who created it and what else we have related to it) we have compiled a list of Archival Documents for each exhibit.

Wondering what a fonds is? We've created a glossary too.

City Archives

The photographs and documents used in our exhibits (and thousands more) are available to view and purchase at the City of Edmonton Archives.

We're located in the historic Prince of Wales Armouries. Our reference room is open to the public, there is no admission fee, and parking is free.

If you can't come to the Archives we have an online catalogue of images and finding aids for our records.

If you have any questions, feedback, or suggestions for new exhibits call us at 780-496-8711 or email us at cms.archives@edmonton.ca.
