We have a large collection of commercial (and a limited number of residential) blueprints.
When copies of blueprints are ordered there is a $25 minimum charge. The final cost may be higher depending on the number of pages to copy. See the Order Form for more information or contact us at 780-496-8711 or at cms.archives@edmonton.ca.
Please contact the Archives at 780-496-5989 to make an appointment prior to your visit or if you are unable to come into the Archives. We may be able to find answers to simple research questions for you. We’ll also help you determine if we have material of interest to you in our holdings.
If we do have records relating to your interests, we can retrieve some preliminary material and have it on hold for you ready for your visit.
Or, we can refer you somewhere that might have what you’re looking for (the Provincial Archives of Alberta, for example).
When you visit the Archives, a reference archivist is available in our reference room to help you. This includes orientating new users to our self-serve material and how to use our finding aids.
Typically, archivists don’t do research for you. Instead, we’re here to point you in the right direction so you can find the answers yourself with the materials provided.
For help with research needs, we recommend contacting the Alberta Genealogical Society or hiring a professional researcher to assist you.
