Transit Service Changes

Five times each year ETS adjusts service based on transit rider feedback and seasonal changes in ridership, such as the Edmonton school cycle and the holiday season. Starting November 30, various bus routes will have some service changes to reflect typical fall ridership patterns.

Route Schedule and Frequency Changes

Routes 1-100: 4, 6, 8, 9, 31, 52, 54, 55, 56

Routes 101-199: 103, 103X, 107, 108, 119

Routes 500-599: 500X, 504, 506, 507, 511, 512, 518, 521, 523, 525

Routes 600-699: 616, 620, 621, 627, 628, 634, 657, 668, 669, 678

Routes 700-799: 704, 712, 713, 722, 729

Routes 900-999: 910X, 918, 930X

New route brochures will be available on November 30. Riders can plan their trips early by selecting a date after November 30 on the ETS Trip Planner and Google Maps.

Service Adjustments

ETS will reassign a number of bus bays at Century Park Transit Centre to help reduce congestion:

Route 712 will move from Bay J to Bay H.
Route 713 will move from Bay I to Bay P

Starting November 30, new On Demand Transit stops will be added in the Aster and Tamarack neighbourhoods with service to Meadows Transit Centre and The Meadows Community Recreation Centre. Please note that Stop #33017 - 12 Street & Aster Boulevard (southbound) will be closed with the opening of the new stops.

On Demand Transit service is no longer available in West Jasper Place as Valley Line West construction has ended for the season, and Route 7 has returned to regular routing.

Routes 910X, 918A, and 918B in Gariepy have resumed service. On Demand Transit is no longer required in this area.

The detour for Route 914 in Aldergrove for Valley Line West construction concluded early and On Demand Transit is no longer required in this area.

Construction and Detours

Several routes have reopened due to the conclusion of road construction in the area.

Route 107 and 119 along 167 Avenue and 66 Street. This detour was to accommodate roundabout road construction in the area.

Route 106/626 on 132 Avenue between 82 Street and 66 Street.

December 26 (Boxing Day)	Buses and LRT will operate using Saturday schedules. There will also be additional service on Route 4.
December 29, 30	All buses will run on reduced weekday service.
December 31 (New Year's Eve)	From the start of service to 6pm, all buses will run on reduced weekday service. From 6pm until the end of service, all transit riders can board buses, LRT and DATS for free. Some routes will also have extended service until 3am.
January 1 (New Year's Day)	Buses and LRT will operate using Sunday schedules.
January 2	All buses will run on reduced weekday service. Regular weekday service resumes on LRT.
January 5	Regular weekday service resumes on buses.
