Transit Service Changes

Five times each year ETS adjusts service based on transit rider feedback and seasonal changes in ridership, such as the Edmonton school cycle. Starting February 8, various bus routes will have service changes to reflect typical mid-winter ridership patterns.

Route Schedule and Frequency Changes

Routes 1-100: 1, 53, 54, 56

Routes 101-199: 106, 108, 109, 113, 116, 118, 119, 120X, 122, 128, 130X

Routes 500-599: 500X, 501, 506, 509, 525

Routes 600-699: 610, 612, 613, 614, 616, 617 618, 620, 625, 627, 654, 663

Routes 700-799: 713, 715, 716, 718, 719, 721, 722, 729

Routes 900-999: 900X, 907, 917, 918

New route brochures will be available on February 8. Riders can plan their trips early by selecting a date after February 8 on the ETS Trip Planner and Google Maps.

Service Adjustments

ETS will reassign bus bays at two transit centres to help reduce congestion and improve operational efficiency:

Route 506 (Davies) will move from Bay G (2707) to Bay L (3712) at Meadows.
On Demand Transit will move from Bay L (3712) to Bay G (2707) at Meadows.
Route 128 will move from Bay F (7009) to Bay H (7011) at Northgate.

Route 506 (Davies) will also see a routing change into Meadows Transit Centre. Instead of turning north on Tamarack Way, it will continue on Maple Road, turn right on 17 Street and then turn into the transit centre.

Riders can board/exit this route at stop #3613 (Maple Road and Tamarack Way westbound)

Route 654 - This school route will no longer stop at stop #2844 (116 Street and 87 Avenue eastbound) and will end one stop earlier at stop #2967 (116 Street and 91 Avenue southbound).

February 17-20 (Reading Week)	Buses run regular weekday schedules, with no Route 622 service to Concordia University and reduced Route 4 service to the University of Alberta.
February 26-27 (Teachers’ Convention)	Public and Catholic school service will be cancelled, with the exception of Route 622. All other buses will continue to run regular weekday service.
March 26-27	Catholic school trips have been adjusted to reflect the change in early dismissal times.
March 30- April 2 (Spring Break)	Public and Catholic school service will be cancelled, with the exception of Route 622. All other buses will continue to run regular weekday service.
April 3 (Good Friday)	Buses will run regular Sunday service.
April 6 (Easter Monday)	Public and Catholic school service will be cancelled and Route 4 service will be reduced. All other buses will continue to run regular weekday service.
March 31 and April 15	Public school service will be cancelled due to professional development days. All other buses will continue to run regular weekday service.
