The Reuse Centre promotes reuse and waste reduction through various events. Join us for any one of our upcoming reuse events.

DIY Thursday Workshops

DIY Thursdays are free workshops featuring local experts that focus on building skills to help you reduce waste! Past DIY Thursdays have included: Bike repair workshops, gardening workshops and sewing. DIY Thursday workshops will continue in 2026.

Reuse Centre Swap Events

Swap events focus on specific types of items, such as books, movies and toys. Residents can trade items with each other at no charge in a fun and safe environment.

Rather than throwing them away, or letting them collect dust on the shelf, you can give them a second life and find something new for yourself! Bring up to 5 items to trade, free of charge.

The Reuse Centre will still be open for regular business during the swap, so you are welcome to drop off any donations you may have while you're here.

Zero Waste Framework

The Zero Waste Framework outlines the many ways in which to manage waste. It focuses on waste rethink/redesign, waste reduction, reuse, recycling/composting, waste recovery and residual management.
