How to Dispose of Jack-o’-lanterns
Take them to Clareview Recreation Centre, in the west parking lot, on Sunday November 2, from noon-3pm for our annual Pumpkin Smash. Come and drop, bop or catapult your pumpkin, and learn about how to turn it into compost.
If you're unable to attend Pumpkin Smash or bring it to an Eco Station, jack-o'-lanterns can be placed in your food scraps cart.
Yard Waste Collection
Between September 29 and November 24, running each Monday, every curbside resident will receive 2 yard waste collection days. You can find your collection dates on the WasteWise app or online.
The City of Edmonton collects waste from all Edmonton homes. Depending on where you live, you have either curbside collection or apartment and condo collection. How you sort and set out your waste depends on your collection type.
