Serving on a Civic Agency is an opportunity to provide your expertise, unique perspectives, and lived experiences to positively impact our city. It allows you to gain experience, expand your networks and grow your skills.
Time Commitment
Most agencies meet monthly, with additional preparation or sub-committee work. Many require 5-10 hours per month. Tribunals or specialized agencies may require more time commitment.
Appointment Terms
Most appointments are 1-2 years, with some up to 4 years. Members may serve up to 8 consecutive years (varies by agency).
Compensation
Some agencies provide honoraria according to Council Policy - Honoraria and Expenses for City Agencies.
