Project Update - November 2025
Alley Renewal construction in the Strathearn Neighbourhood has wrapped up for the 2025 construction season! The Alley Renewal work consisted of removing the existing road structure, placing a new gravel base, conducting minor concrete replacement and installing new asphalt pavement.
2025 construction began in May and was finished in the third week of October. The 2025 construction season was a success and we completed all planned construction including:
- The reconstruction of 15 alleys.
- The installation of two new shared streets located north of 95 Avenue from 87 Street to 91 Street.
- A shared street is a coloured and stamped concrete surface for alleys designated for shared use.
- The installation of new alley lighting for the two new shared streets.
All the main Alley Renewal construction in Strathearn is now complete. Minor deficiency work will still take place in the spring of 2026 as related to final inspections. This deficiency work will include landscaping and asphalt repairs in various locations as required for project completion.
