Alley Renewal is coming to Strathearn!
Thank you to everyone who attended the Preparing for Construction public information event on March 4 to learn what to expect during Alley Renewal construction in Strathearn.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early May, weather permitting, with anticipated completion in the fall of 2025. Work will consist of removing the existing road structure, placing a new gravel base, conducting minor concrete replacements and installing new asphalt pavement. Surface drainage will be improved where possible.

Notification
Residents impacted by will receive a construction bulletin in their mailbox this spring with more detailed information about the upcoming work. Approximately one week before construction begins in your alley, you will receive an additional construction bulletin outlining the anticipated start date and the contractor’s contact information. At this time, signs will also be placed at affected alley entrances to indicate closure dates.
Garbage and Recycle Collection
While your alley is closed for construction, waste cart and recycling bag collection will occur from your front street or avenue. Carts and recycle bags should be placed in a visible location along the curb or back of the sidewalk, at which point collection workers will manoeuver carts so they can be emptied.
Please mark your home address in the space provided on the carts to ensure they are returned home after collection.
