Construction Update - November 2025
Alley Renewal construction in Beverly Heights Neighbourhood has wrapped up for the 2025 construction season!
2025 construction began in May and was finished the fourth week of September. The 2025 construction season was a success, and we completed most of the planned construction.
There are some areas in the 2025 construction area that were not completed. Those include the alleys between 44 Street and 42 Street, from 111 Avenue to 113 Avenue (Section 37/42). The outstanding work will be completed when construction resumes in 2026.
Parts of the 2025 construction area may also require sod. Once the weather warms up, typically in early May, the landscape subcontractor will be completing the topsoil and sod placement. By waiting until spring, the sod is more likely to establish.
Alley renewal work will resume in Beverly Heights Neighbourhood in spring 2026, weather permitting. Prior to work resuming, construction notifications will be delivered to impacted residences.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we completed another successful year of alley renewal construction. Construction in the Beverly Heights neighbourhood began in May 2024 and is expected to be completed by October 2026.
Alley renewal in Beverly Heights is progressing on time and on budget.

Garbage and Recycle Collection
While your alley is closed for construction, waste cart collection will occur from your front street or avenue. Residents are asked to temporarily relocate carts and recycle bags to the front of your property during alley closures for pick-up on collection days. Carts and bags should be placed in a visible location along the curb or back of the sidewalk, at which point collection workers will manoeuvre carts so they can be emptied.
We recommend you identify your home address in the space provided on the carts to ensure your assigned carts are returned to your home after collection.
