Ways to Pay for Parking

Scanning QR Code

No Account Required

Pay for parking by scanning the QR code on signs posted in on-street EPark zones and parkades. Scan with your mobile phone the QR code on posted signs in the zone
Enter the zone number you wish to park in
Fill out the prompts for licence plate, length of time for parking and pay method and select the Pay button
- A reference page of your parking session will appear with the option to have a one-time parking receipt emailed to you

Online

No Account Required

You will need to enter a zone number when starting a parking session online. Zone numbers are posted on on-street signage, as well as on the CurbIQ map.

HotSpot App

Account Required

Download the app from the Google Play or the Apple Store. Follow the prompts to create an account and enter your payment information.

Pay By Phone

You can contact HotSpot Parking customer service 1-855-712-5888 to have an agent set up payment on your behalf. You must have an account with credit card information on file as agents cannot accept credit card information over the phone.

Parking Time Limit Changes

The 2-hour parking limit has been removed for all on-street EPark zones. Customers can park for a longer duration, while supporting the businesses in the area.

Stanley A. Milner Library Parkade

The parkade pedestrian and pedway doors are locked from midnight-6am. Call security at 780-496-2620 to access the parkade during these hours. Vehicle doors operate at all hours.

With the 99 Street Streetscaping and Waterproof Project extended to mid-September, access to the parkade will be limited.

The parkade entrance at 99 Street, at the Citadel Theatre, is closed, and portions of the first level are unavailable for parking. The parkade’s entrance and exit at 100 Street are open.

City Hall

Starting Tuesday, August 5, vehicles can only access the parkade at the 102A Avenue entrance, due to the 99 Street Update project. The current entry from the north via 103A Avenue will be closed. The detour will be in effect until late spring 2026. Please plan for extra time when entering or leaving the parkade.

Will I get a receipt?

If you are using the HotSpot Parking app or an online account, all parking records will be automatically saved
If you scan the QR code or go online to pay, you will have the option to have a receipt emailed to you for your records

How do I request a refund?

Any unused time from a parking session - whether paid via the HotSpot app or online - is non-refundable.

In the case of a technical error such as a duplicate payment while using the Hotspot App, scanning the QR code, or paying online, please contact HotSpot Parking customer support.

How do I add time to an existing parking session?

If you are using the HotSpot app, you can extend your parking session to the maximum time allowed in your zone. When the maximum parking time has been reached, you will need to start a new parking session
If you pay by scanning the QR code or online, you will have to start a new parking session each time

How do I view my parking transactions?

A HotSpot account through the app will keep a record of all parking sessions.

To access parking records from payments not made through the app or online, contact epark@edmonton.ca.

Is my credit card information secure when I pay?

All payment card information is protected separately by the City’s gateway provider. Sensitive information such as credit card numbers are encoded as a series of values (letters, numbers, symbols, etc) known as tokens, and are not available to the vendor. This is standard for customer payments through the City.

Can prepaid credit cards be used for payment?

Prepaid Mastercard or Visa gift cards can be used for payment. Many gift cards require registration through the credit card company’s website before the card can be used. If one is not working, please contact the credit card company.

The HotSpot app is not working. What can I do?

How do I get a receipt?

If you need a record of your receipts, select yes when prompted to be emailed a receipt when scanning the QR code or online, or select the check button on the machine when prompted to accept printing out a receipt. The HotSpot app stores records of all parking transactions.

To request a receipt well after a payment date:

Email epark@edmonton.ca if the payment not made through HotSpot
Contact HotSpot if the payment was made through the app, when using the QR code or online
