Rundle Park, located on the north bank of the river in the city’s northeast, has a wide range of features and facilities for users to enjoy. Sports fields, multi-use trails, picnic sites and a golf course to name a few. It is also home to toboggan hills and an IceWay in the winter.
Skaters can use public outdoor ice skating surfaces in major parks or Community Leagues.
The 2022 pilot project that permitted alcohol consumption at designated picnic sites has concluded. This means that alcohol consumption is no longer permitted in parks or picnic sites without an event license. The results of the 2022 pilot and public engagement will be discussed at City Council in early 2023.
Rundle Park has 6 picnic sites available for reservation during the summer. The park also has 23 picnic tables available for drop-in (no fee) use. Additionally, reservation site tables that aren't reserved in advance can be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis.
