Decorative Street Light Update

Remember to complete your Expression of Interest (EOI) form!

EOI packages to gauge interest in upgrading your street lights were mailed to all registered property owners in early October. This is an opportunity for property owners to submit their interest in supporting or not supporting the decorative street light option for the entire Ottewell neighbourhood.

Property owners can return their completed form selecting whether they support decorative street lights to the City of Edmonton by November 25, 2022. If the City receives sufficient support from the community, the local improvement process will begin.

About the Project

Neighbourhood reconstruction rehabilitates residential roads, replaces street lights, sidewalks, curbs and gutters and adds missing sidewalk links where possible. Other opportunities to improve how people walk, bike, drive and gather in the neighbourhood and how they enjoy City-owned parks and open spaces are also explored.

A series of public events will be scheduled by the project team which will give residents the opportunity to build a project vision and guiding principles together and provide regular feedback on the different stages of the project including design.

Cost sharing opportunities will be made available through the local improvement process for sidewalk reconstruction and decorative street light upgrades in the neighbourhood. Arterial roads and alleys are not included in the scope of work.
