Neighbourhood reconstruction is scheduled for Lorelei in 2020-2022 and Beaumaris in 2021-2023.

Construction Update - November 2022

Neighbourhood Renewal construction in the Lorelei/Beaumaris Neighbourhoods has wrapped up for the 2022 construction season!

2022 construction began in May and was finished the last week of October. The 2022 construction season was a success and we completed all planned construction.

In Lorelei, the third and final year of construction was completed including shared-use paths and improvements made in Loreilei Park. Landscaping was also upgraded around the Altalink corridor.

In Beaumaris, the second year of construction was completed including improvements to Beaumaris Park and and shared-use path along Beaumaris Road.

There are some areas in the 2022 construction area that still require sod. Once the weather warms up, typically in early May, the landscape subcontractor will be completing the topsoil and sod placement. By waiting until spring, the sod is more likely to establish.

Neighbourhood renewal work will resume in Lorelei and Beaumaris Neighbourhoods in the first week of May 2023, weather permitting.

In Lorelei, the planned scope for 2023 will include a shared-use path along Castle Downs Road from Beaumaris Road to 97 Street. Year three scope work, as defined by the scope map, will be completed in Beaumaris. Prior to work resuming, construction notifications will be delivered to impacted residences.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we completed another successful year of neighbourhood renewal construction. Construction in the Lorelei/Beaumaris Neighbourhoods began in spring 2021 and is expected to take three years.

Neighbourhood renewal in Lorelei and Beaumaris Neighbourhoods is progressing on time and on budget.
