Two bridges in the Mill Creek Ravine area require repair. Construction is anticipated to begin in September 2025.

Project Update - August 2025

The City of Edmonton is scheduled to begin repair work on two bridges, B082 and B275, in Mill Creek Ravine, starting in the fall of 2025. These repairs are necessary to address trail erosion, which will ensure the continued safe use and maintenance of the bridges and their surrounding trails.

Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025, with some landscaping completed in 2026.

Minimal traffic disruptions are expected as the work on B082 will occur under the bridge and will not require any road closures.

Trail closures are expected during construction. The trails across B275 and under B082 will be closed for the duration of the project.

Project Overview

Repair work on two bridges in Mill Creek Ravine is scheduled for late summer/early fall 2025.

Bank erosion is occurring at two existing bridge locations. The affected bridges are the 82 Avenue vehicle bridge (B082) and a pedestrian bridge located within Mill Creek Ravine (B275).

Construction on the 82 Avenue vehicle bridge (B082) includes replacement of the sub-surface drainage system which will impact the west shared pathway beneath the bridge. A temporary closure of the pathway will be required to replace the drainage system.

Additional information about traffic and pedestrian impacts will be shared closer to the start of construction.
