The City of Edmonton works with community members to stop the spread of prohibited noxious and noxious weeds listed in the Alberta Weed Control Act.
The invasive plant outreach program team is excited to steward Edmonton’s natural areas with community members by hosting Volunteer Invasive Weed Pull Events. We invite people of all ages and abilities to sign up.
Invasive species are the second biggest threat to biodiversity after habitat loss. The City jointly relies on Edmonton residents to Spot, Report and Remove invasive species within our City. We are grateful for the hundreds of volunteers that have joined together to stop the spread of invasive plants, and protect Edmonton's biodiversity.

To sign up for a volunteer shift, log into Better Impact and choose Opportunities at the top.
Each guided shift will have an assigned date, time and location. Sign up for the one that works best for you.
You will receive an event-specific information email after your registration and a reminder email before your shift.
