Reading Week LRT Service Adjustments
From February 18-21, ETS is planning LRT service adjustments that will allow for more frequent trains in downtown and northeast Edmonton, trains with increased occupancy in south Edmonton and a more balanced passenger flow.
On these dates, Capital Line trains will run every five minutes during peak hours (approximately 6-9am and 3-6pm). During off-peak hours, Capital Line trains will run every ten minutes, instead of every 15 minutes (unless otherwise noted).
Metro Line trains will continue to operate at a 15 minute frequency, but will only travel between Health Sciences/Jubilee and NAIT stations all day. This means that to travel south of Health Sciences/Jubilee, Metro Line customers must transfer to a Capital Line train between Churchill and Health Sciences/Jubilee stations.
Peak Hour Service
- Century Park to Health Sciences:
Capital Line (four-car) trains run every five minutes. There will be no Metro Line (three-car) trains running between these stations
- Health Sciences/Jubilee to Churchill:
Capital Line (four-car) trains run every five minutes, with an additional Metro Line (three-car) train between two of the Capital Line trains. That means there are four trains every 15 minutes, instead of three
- Churchill to NAIT:
No changes. Metro Line continues to run every 15 minutes between these stations
- Churchill to Clareview:
Capital Line trains run every five minutes. As the Metro Line train is integrated into the Capital Line, these adjustments eliminate the 10 minute gap between trains in the northeast
