O-day’min Ward Councillor Anne Stevenson

Anne was born and raised in Edmonton. After graduating from high school, she spent 10 years studying, working and travelling abroad. Anne received an undergraduate degree in International Development and Economics at Trent University, which included a year abroad in Ghana during her third year. She then went on to pursue a Master’s degree in City Design at the London School of Economics and started a career in urban planning in the UK. Following five years overseas, Anne moved to Vancouver, where she worked in industrial land use planning at the Port of Metro Vancouver.

Anne was excited to return home to Edmonton in 2012 to take a position at the City of Edmonton. She spent seven years working on diverse planning projects while also volunteering on the board of the Right at Home Housing Society. In 2019, Anne left the City to join Right at Home full-time, helping deliver a range of affordable housing solutions to meet the diverse needs of our community.

Anne was thrilled to be elected to her first term on Edmonton City Council in October 2021 and is honoured to be serving Ward O-day’min for another four years. She lives in the Wîhkwêntôwin neighbourhood with her partner and daughter and enjoys taking in all the wonderful amenities that O-day’min has to offer.

Anne is passionate about building an equitable city that serves all residents. Following an undergraduate in international development and economics, she went on to complete a masters degree in urban design. After 10 years of working and travelling abroad, Anne was thrilled to return to her hometown of Edmonton in 2012. She spent 7 years working in the planning department at the City of Edmonton and then joined the Right at Home Housing Society where she focused on providing affordable housing solutions to meet the diverse needs of our community.

Anne currently lives in Wîhkwêntôwin with her partner and daughter. She was first elected to Edmonton City Council in October 2021 and is honoured to be representing O-day'min for a second term.
