Public engagement is an important part of being on City Council. Some may say engaging the public is the number one job of City Councillors.
There are many ways citizens can engage with City Council:
- Calling, faxing, e-mailing, mailing or meeting with the Mayor and City Council.
- Speaking in front of Council to address a particular item, usually part of a statutory public hearing.
- Participating on Agencies, Boards and Commissions or a task force to provide input to Council in a variety of areas.
