On-street Market in Downtown Edmonton

The City of Edmonton Recurring On-street Market Program makes public roads, sidewalks and alleys available for market organizers to operate recurring seasonal markets.

The Recurring On-street Market Program is now open for applications. Eligible market organizers can apply to operate a market on City roads, streets and alleyways that can accommodate a temporary closure of the space.

Through the application process the City will work with the market organizer by engaging with the necessary internal stakeholders. If the City cannot accommodate an on–street market, private property may be an option to explore. For information on operating a market on private property please consult with Development Services.

Please note that this application process is for recurring seasonal on-street markets. One-time market events on City’s roads can submit an application to Civic Events
