A planning application (map) has been received to rezone properties at 18348 Lessard Road NW, 4819 184 Street NW and 4903 184 Street NW.
The application proposes to rezone the subject properties fromto .
The proposed rezoning would create two separate DC2 Provisions instead of one. The range of uses currently allowed in the existing DC2 Provision are proposed to remain in place for Lot 1 (4819 184 Street NW) identified on the map including but not limited to: business support, convenience retail, gas bars and general retail store uses.
The new DC2 Provision will revise the uses for Lot 2 (4903 184 Street NW) and 3 (18348 Lessard Road NW), as shown on the map, to allow for the development of Multi-Unit Housing and a broader range of commercial uses including but not limited to automotive and equipment repair shops, bars and neighbourhood pubs, and cannabis retail sales uses.
This application conforms with the Dechene Neighbourhood Structure Plan.
Edmontonians were invited to a drop-in public engagement session, on October 8, 2019, about the proposed rezoning of 18348 Lessard Road NW, 4819 184 Street NW and 4903 184 Street NW.
The engagement session was an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and share views with the City and the applicant. Feedback will be summarized in a report to City Council for consideration when the proposal goes to Public Hearing for a decision.
