Explore our Unique City Farms Project

Food production is an essential service and the City of Edmonton is thankful to be able to play a part in growing fresh, healthy food for Edmontonians who need it the most.

The City utilizes City-owned land to create additional garden space for growing food for donation. City employees cultivate the gardens and the produce is then sent to Edmonton’s Food Bank. The harvest usually includes Swiss chard, kale, corn, carrots, beets, several varieties of squash, pumpkins, and zucchini.
