Micro Grants are closed for Central McDougall, Queen Mary Park and McCauley Revitalization Areas for 2024.
Revitalization Micro-grants, up to $500, are available to support small, local, such as, block-level projects and events. Eligible projects may involve fewer residents but still must contribute to the achievement of one of the Neighbourhood Services Funding Program outcomes.
Any association or organization applying must have been formally registered within the Province of Alberta for at least a year and should be able to provide at least 1 year's worth of financial statements that follow generally accepted accounting principles if required.
Eligible applicants must be a resident or located in one of the following Revitalization Neighbourhoods which include Balwin, Belvedere, Queen Mary Park, Central McDougall, Inglewood, McCauley and Jasper Place

The City of Edmonton will review and approve applications as quickly as possible. Groups are encouraged to apply 8 weeks in advance of their planned project, initiative or event. Incorrect financial or organization contact information can result in a delay or inability to process your grant request. Your organization can avoid delays by:
The City of Edmonton assesses the Neighbourhood(s) Micro-Grant applications on the following criteria. All applicants will be contacted with a grant decision.
Note: Meeting assessment requirements does not guarantee funding. Applicants may receive full, partial or no funding for their projects.
The following conditions apply to all Neighbourhood(s) Micro-Grant applications:
The funds received shall not be used for a purpose beyond the objectives outlined by this grant. The Applicant must demonstrate fiscal responsibility and manage its finances.
Should an applicant make false representations or otherwise fail to meet any of the requirements of the grant to the City’s satisfaction, they may be subject to fund repayment. The applicant may also be ineligible for future funding or other procurement with the City of Edmonton until the outstanding dispute has been resolved.
All Neighbourhood Micro-Grant fund recipients must submit a Final Report within 30 days of the completion of the Project. Your Final Report will state how the funds were used. Fund recipients must demonstrate how the initiative met one or more of the Neighbourhood Services Funding Program Outcomes.
Note: Fund recipient eligibility for future funding through the City of Edmonton is dependent on a complete Final Report verified as received by the Grants Office.

Note: If you do not have a copy of the Financial Report (budget) submitted with your application, please call the Grants Office for assistance at 780-496-4933. Otherwise, you can create a new Revitalization Micro-Grant Expense Sheet (Budget) with the actual expense portion completed. No matching component is required for the Revitalization Micro-Grant.
All applicants must submit a final report and expense sheet within 30 days of project completion.
