Service Alerts and Detours

New Bus Routes Coming August 2020
Effective August 30 2020, ETS will modernize the transit system to connect more Edmontonians through new efficient and effective routes. On November 26 2019, City Council approved the new bus network that will allow ETS to deliver a safe, convenient, fast and reliable transit service.

On-demand Alternative Transit  Update
On November 26 2019, City Council directed ETS to do a detailed cost analysis of providing an on-demand alternative transit service (first kilometre/last kilometre) using in-house resources and through a private contractor. This follows a report presented to the Urban Planning Committee on November 19 and discussion at City Council on November 26. An alternative transit service would complement the regular bus service so more Edmontonians could get where they need to go safely and conveniently. ETS will report back to City Council in February, when Council is expected to decide how the service could be delivered.

4 ETS Advisory Board Positions Available
The City of Edmonton invites you to serve on the Edmonton Transit Service Advisory Board (ETSAB) for the 2020 term. ETSAB provides advice and comments to Council and the City on transit related issues. The City of Edmonton is currently accepting applications for 4 vacancies until February 2, 2020.

Smart Fare Validators Being Installed on ETS Buses
The Smart Fare electronic payment system is a step closer with the installation of fare validators starting Tuesday October 15 in all public buses for Edmonton, St. Albert and Strathcona County.
