Killarney has been chosen for neighbourhood renewal beginning in spring 2022 with anticipated completion in 2023.

Community Walk and Workshop - October 2019

Thank you to everyone who joined the Community Walk and Workshop October 3, 2019 at the Killarney Community League. At the event, participants joined the project team for a walk around the community showing us what they like, what they would change and what they would keep. Afterwards, a workshop was held to hear ideas and co-create a vision and guiding principles for Killarney's Neighbourhood Renewal.

About the Project

The Neighbourhood Renewal program will rehabilitate roads, curbs and gutters, replace street lights, repair sidewalks, and where possible, connect missing sidewalk links. Other opportunities to improve parks and public spaces will also be explored.

Cost sharing opportunities will be made available through the Local Improvement process for sidewalk reconstruction and decorative street light upgrades in the neighbourhood. Arterial roads and alleys are not included in the scope of work.

The Killarney Neighbourhood Renewal Project Team is beginning the planning for public engagement on the project that will give residents the opportunity to provide feedback on the different stages of the project.
