There is also a proposed text amendment to the Griesbach Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan (NASP) because the maximum height currently allowed in the Village Centre is 4 storeys and the applicant is proposing a 6-storey building.
An amendment to the Zoning Bylaw, Section 940 is also required to allow for the new Griesbach Medium Rise Apartment Zone (RA8g) zone.
Public Engagement Session
Edmontonians were invited to a drop-in public engagement session on January 22, 2020 at Glengarry School to learn more about the proposed rezoning.
The engagement session was an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and provide feedback to the City and the applicant. Feedback will be summarized in a report for City Council for when the proposed rezoning goes to City Council Public Hearing.

The rezoning and plan amendment would allow for Multi-Unit Housing up to 6 storeys (23.0 metres) with a reduced front setback to 3.0 metres or 1.0 metres for dwellings with direct ground-level access.
