Construction started in June 2023 and underground drainage infrastructure, rough grading, shared use pathways and path lighting have been completed. Work planning for spring/summer 2024 includes building a sports field, tree, shrub and sod installation and adding park furniture. The park site will be closed and fenced off during construction to ensure public and worker safety.
The City of Edmonton is developing a community park in the south section of the Secord neighbourhood, located along Secord Drive. The site is approximately 5.02 hectares (12 acres) in size.
The scope of this project is to provide base-level park development including grading, seeding and landscaping, as well as building a sports field, adding park furniture and constructing shared-use paths with lighting. The park is scheduled for construction in spring 2023 with construction completion anticipated for fall 2023.

The preliminary design phase was completed in fall 2022. Detailed design started in fall 2022 and is anticipated to be completed in winter 2023.
Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2023, subject to funding being approved in the 2023-26 capital budget.
The second phase of engagement was held in February 2022.
Based on public and stakeholder engagement, a Final Concept Design has been developed.
The project is currently funded through the design phase.
