Effective January 24, 2020, the Home Energy Plan has ended. You can still do an EnerGuide evaluation and upgrades to your home, but there is no rebate currently available. For more information about the Home Energy Plan, please visit the Energy Efficiency Alberta website.
The Home Energy Plan helps you save money and upgrade your home
The Home Energy Plan is a program that helps you understand your home’s emissions, and provides rebates for upgrades, including high-efficiency furnaces, insulation, hot water heaters, windows, drain water heat recovery, and more.
To start the process, an expert will come to your home and give you a Home Energy Evaluation, which will guide you on how to make your home more energy efficient. You get $400 towards your Home Energy Evaluation and an EnerGuide label, plus rebates for the upgrades you make.
The Home Energy Plan is a program of the City of Edmonton and Energy Efficiency Alberta designed to help homeowners understand their home’s energy performance, increase energy efficiency, and reduce greenhouse gases.
