Every spring, all City streets are cleared of sand and debris that have accumulated over the winter.

The City has measures in place to minimize dust, but street sweepers can still create dusty conditions that reduce visibility. If you see dust, slow down and drive for conditions. We recommend closing windows and walking on alternative sidewalks.

Always give our equipment plenty of space - in front, behind and on both sides.

Street Sweepings from Private Property

Street sweepings are not accepted from private parking lots or non-City or City-contracted equipment. These sweepings can be taken to the following locations:

Call first to confirm acceptance 780-663-2038.

  • Apply sand/salt to your sidewalks to ensure good traction for pedestrians
  • Know your snow day and park off the street when blading happens in your neighbourhood
