About the Program

Royal Gardens has been chosen for reconstruction beginning in spring 2019 with completion expected for 2020.

Neighbourhood reconstruction is a type of neighbourhood renewal that involves road reconstruction and repaving, as well as replacement of streetlights and reconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter. Alley renewal is not part of neighbourhood reconstruction. It also includes the opportunity for two local improvements, sidewalk renewal and decorative streetlights.

A series of public events will be scheduled which will give residents the opportunity to provide their input and feedback as the planning and design progress.

Have Your Say

Before construction starts in 2019, we want your ideas on how you get around within Royal Gardens and your thoughts on the most important things to improve in the neighbourhood. This survey was designed based on the feedback you provided during the recent public engagement in February and March 2018.

In this survey, we want your input on the:

  • Vision and values for Royal Gardens
  • Important elements of the neighbourhood
  • Potential design elements in Royal Gardens and the benefits and trade-offs of those with a focus on your preferred travel modes, open spaces and traffic management solutions
