The KAC is a volunteer group of neighbourhood residents that are working with the City to help improve how the City engages with the community and ensure community viewpoints on the Keheewin housing development are heard. The initial objective of the KAC was to provide input and perspective on the pilot engagement process for the Keheewin housing development, but their involvement has since been uniquely expanded by the City to include direct input and participation in the developer/operator selection process. This additional level of input is new. Providing input into the developer/operator selection as an expansion of the pilot engagement process will be evaluated and help inform future recommendations for community engagement with other Building Housing Choices projects.
