Tendering

The City procures goods and services openly and transparently, generally in accordance with the Agreement on Internal Trade, Annex 502. 4 (AIT).

We advertise purchasing opportunities (tenders and requests for proposals) either on APC or COOLnet (Construction Opportunities On-Line) websites:

On APC we post tenders (including construction) and requests for proposals. Besides visiting their site, you can call them toll-free in Alberta at 310-0000 or at 1-780-644-5726 (help desk).
On COOLnet - Edmonton Construction Association we post only construction tenders. They also have a phone number, at 780-483-1130.

If you are interested on bidding on one of the City's opportunities, please read the complete tender or request for proposal, and comply with all of its requirements. If you are unsure about anything, contact the person noted on the document to seek clarification.

There may be some pre-qualification or minimum performance requirements associated with particular tender opportunities, so please review the Tender Opportunities carefully.

We notify successful bidders by telephone, fax, Purchase Order, Letter of Intent, or a combination of these if appropriate. No commitment will exist until such time as a vendor receives official notification from Materials Management.
