A planning application (map) has been received for a property at 8882 170 Street NW.
The application proposes to rezone the property, West Edmonton Mall, from an existing to a revised Site Specific Development Control Provision (DC2).
Specifically, minor changes are applied to the regulations for use, and the site plan that was part of the previous DC2 appendix will be removed. This will allow for the extension of the parkade east of the Hudson Bay store to the northeast corner of the site, where there is a surface parking lot at this time. The scale of the rest of the mall will not change. The new parkade will house ancillary uses for the auto dealership inside the structure (wash bay and detailing) and will conform to all height restrictions.
