Plan amendment for the Rampart Industrial area

A planning application (map) has been received to amend the Rampart Industrial Area Structure Plan (ASP).

The proposed changes to the Rampart Industrial ASP are intended:

  • to allow for a public utility site to accommodate an LRT facility
  • to move the park space to the east of 142 Street
  • to allow for business industrial uses along the LRT line
  • to relocate a potential fire station to the northwest corner of 142 Street and 143 Avenue
  • to confirm the locations of Natural Areas

Rampart Industrial: 16116 142 Street NW and 16121 Campbell Road NW

A planning application (map) has been approved for rezoning of properties at 16116 142 Street NW and 16121 Campbell Road NW.

The application proposed to rezone the properties from Agricultural Zone (AG) to Medium Industrial Zone (IM) and Public Utility Zone (PU). The purpose of the Medium Industrial Zone is to provide for manufacturing, processing, assembly, distribution, service and repair uses.

A 1 metre wide strip of land is being added to an existing Public Utility lot on the southern part of the site in order to accommodate the necessary emergency access.

This application conformed with the Rampart Industrial Area Structure Plan, which designates the subject parcel as Medium Industrial Zone.

16135C 142 Street NW

A planning application (map) has been made to rezone a property at 16135C 142 Street NW. The current zoning is Medium Industrial Zone (IM)

The proposed zoning is Industrial Business Zone (IB). The purpose of this zone is to provide for industrial businesses and limited, compatible non-industrial businesses. This application includes a plan amendment to the Rampart Industrial Area Structure Plan to reflect the proposed rezoning.
