A planning application (map) has been received for a property at 5335 112 Avenue NW. 
This application proposes to rezone the site from the Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) to a Site Specific Development Control Provision (DC2) to allow for limited neighbourhood convenience commercial and personal service uses within an existing building. 
If the existing building is demolished, a new commercial building can be developed with greater minimum setbacks and maximum height. Low-density residential opportunities that reflect the Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) are also permitted if the existing building is demolished.

An associated application has been made to amend the Highlands Neighborhood Planning Study to amend two land use maps to reflect the proposed zoning.

A planning application (map) has been received for a property at 11231 65 Street NW.

The application proposes to rezone the property from Single Detached Residential Zone (RF1) to Direct Development Control Provision (DC1).

The proposed DC1 rezoning would accommodate the continuing use and preservation of the Alex Cormack Residence, which is designated as a Municipal Historic Resource. An amendment to the Highlands Neighbourhood Planning Study is also proposed to accommodate the proposed rezoning.

6423 112 Avenue NW

A planning application (map) has been received for a property at 6423 112 Avenue NW.

The proposal is to rezone the property from Neighbourhood Convenience Commercial Zone (CNC) to Direct Development Control Provision (DC1) to preserve and enhance the Gibbard Block, a municipally designated historic building.

The Direct Development Control Provision proposal includes retention of the existing 4-storey historic building, and continuation of commercial and residential uses.

An associated plan amendment to the Highlands Neighbourhood Planning Study has been made to enable this rezoning.
