We are committed to working toward a healthier environment by encouraging residents in the Capital Region to practice some of simple steps that reduce the need for pesticides in their lawn care. The City of Edmonton, the City of Leduc, the City of St. Albert and Strathcona County are pleased to partner to bring you these Good Growing tips for a healthier environment.
Herbicides, insecticides and fungicides may help in the short term, but using alternative methods is a better choice for a long term, healthy environment.

Healthy, well-maintained lawns are less likely to have weed problems and need little or no pesticides. The City of Edmonton is committed to working toward a healthier environment and since 1999 has reduced its use of pesticides by 78%.
