Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) is a means of financing energy efficiency upgrades and/or renewable energy installations for residential and commercial property owners. Repayment is made via the property tax system.
The City of Edmonton’s program will incorporate new provincial legislation and regulations. The Clean Energy Improvement Program, Alberta's PACE-like program, is designed to accelerate the investment in GHG reduction through energy efficiency, and on site renewable energy generation.
The City of Edmonton hosted public engagement sessions in March 2019 to give opportunity for residents to help refine proposed elements of the program. The results of the engagement can be found in the What We Heard Report.
