Watching real-time closed captioning

Real-time captioning is shown the live-stream of sessions held in Council Chamber and the River Valley Room. Sessions or parts of a session held in private are not captioned.

The closed captioning can be turned on and off.

With real-time closed captioning, a captioner listens to the proceedings either onsite or from another location, and instantaneously transcribes the spoken word to text using specialized software and equipment. With real-time closed captioning, the text is added immediately and not after as in some closed captioning.
