Multi-Use Trail Connections
Project Overview
As part of the 2009 construction season, the Transportation Department is constructing paved multi-use trail connections east and west of the North Saskatchewan River Bridge.
The multi-use trail connections will total 3.3km, meeting at the pedestrian bridge on Anthony Henday Drive.
On the east side, 1.4km of paved trail will extend to Heath Drive and on the west side, 1.9km of paved trail will extend to Cameron Heights Drive.
Construction commenced spring 2009 and will be completed fall 2009.

Public Involvement
In 2007, the Transportation Department hosted an open house to present plans for the asphalt paving of trail connections to the Anthony Henday Bridge over the North Saskatchewan River.
Information was shared about changes to the project since the 2006 open house and public feedback was gathered for the environmental assessment.
