Pre-Construction Meeting - February 2018

On Wednesday February 7, City representatives hosted an open house to provide detailed information regarding the final design including pedestrian and cycling improvements, what to expect during construction and the local improvement process for the Bellevue/Virginia Park neighbourhood reconstruction project.

About the Program

Bellevue and Virginia Park have been chosen for reconstruction in spring 2018.

As Bellevue and Virginia Park have the same community league, all of their public meetings will occur together. Details specific to each neighbourhood will be shared at those meetings and on this page.

Neighbourhood reconstruction is a type of neighbourhood renewal that involves road reconstruction and repaving, as well as replacement of streetlights and reconstruction of sidewalks, curb and gutter. Alley renewal is not part of neighbourhood reconstruction.

It also includes the opportunity for two local improvements, sidewalk renewal and decorative streetlights.

Community Conversation - January 2018

On January 22, the City hosted a community conversation to discuss the future renewal initiative for Ada Boulevard. The importance of this initial conversation was to understand how Edmontonians enjoy and make use of the boulevard. Future discussions are expected and will build upon what was learned.
