Student Fares

Student Pass Fares for 2009/2010
Edmonton Public and Catholic Schools Student Passes
The ETS Student Pass is valid for travel every day of the week. Edmonton Transit is pleased to offer this improved service to students in cooperation with the Public and Catholic School Boards.
Eligible elementary, junior and senior high students who attend Edmonton Public or Catholic schools can buy a monthly bus pass from their school. Passes are sold to both school boards by ETS, and are then sold to students at discounted rates which are determined separately by each board. ETS sells the pass to the Boards for $57.50.
Student passes are ONLY available online or from the ETS Customer Service in Churchill LRT Station during July and August 2009.
School Passes
Student school monthly passes are available to elementary, junior high and high school students. Passes are obtained only through the schools where the students attend. Rates charged to students are set by each School Board. Please see the Edmonton Public Schools or Edmonton Catholic Schools website for details.
Post-Secondary Student Passes
U-Pass
U-Pass is a transit fare program that gives U of A graduate and undergraduate students and full-time MacEwan students unlimited access to regular Edmonton, St. Albert Transit (StAT) and Strathcona County Transit services* for fall (September – December) and winter (January – April) academic terms. The U-Pass is not valid during the summer. More U-Pass information.
Post-Secondary Discount
ETS offers full-time students registered at approved post-secondary institutions a discount $67.50 versus $74.25 on the purchase of an adult monthly pass.
If you attend an approved institution, you may qualify for the post-secondary discount on the ETS adult monthly pass. You must show picture identification from your institution at the point of purchase, and proof of current registration. NAIT full-time students can buy passes from the institute where they attend.
Go to Post-Secondary Institutes Approved for Student Discount for a list of all the sales outlets. Students who attend other institutes registered with Edmonton Transit, may also purchase passes from the Customer Information Office in the Churchill LRT Station once their school registers with ETS for this program.
*U-Pass does not include charter, special event or
contracted services provided by ETS, St. Albert Transit
or Strathcona County Transit to outlying communities,
or specialized handibus transit services offered by StAT
and Strathcona County Transit. ETS DATS will accept U-Pass.
