Edmonton City Council approved a special subsidized transit pass for AISH recipients living in Edmonton.  This subsidized pass may only be used on regular Edmonton Transit services, and is intended as an incentive for individuals with disabilities who receive AISH benefits to use regular and community buses and the LRT.  The cost of this pass is $33.00 per month ($34.00 effective March 1, 2012).  The Provincial Ministry of Alberta Seniors and Community Supports has agreed to cooperate with the City of Edmonton in helping those Edmonton AISH recipients interested in this program to enrol in it.
