ETS Data for Developers
ETS has made data available to developers, to promote the use of transit and information related to transit.
The data is available in the General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) format.

Edmonton Transit’s General Transit Feed Specification Data Terms of Use
These Terms of Use set out the terms and conditions “the Terms" which governs your use of Edmonton Transit's General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) Data (the "Data").
You must provide Edmonton Transit sufficient information as Edmonton Transit may request to identify you, your organization or company, who will be using the Data, where it will be distributed and whether the use of the data is for non-commercial or commercial purposes. Edmonton Transit reserves the right to impose conditions or restrictions on your use of the Data.
In consideration of Edmonton Transit providing you with a copy of the Data, you are deemed to accept and agree to the following Terms.
- Edmonton Transit retains all right, title, and interest in the Data, and any intellectual property rights embodied in the Data, including any copyright, and any and all improvements or modifications to the Data and you acknowledge that you acquire no such proprietary rights from the use or distribution of the Data, and that you will not attempt to restrict, limit or prevent Edmonton Transit's use of the Data or Edmonton Transit's trade-marks or official marks in association with the Data.
- Edmonton Transit grants you a limited, revocable and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and redistribute the Data in accordance with these Terms.
- In the event you are a commercial user and you charge an end user a direct or indirect fee to use the Data, Edmonton Transit reserves the right to impose additional terms and conditions for use of the Data, including, but not limited to requiring you to pay a fee or other compensation for the use of the Data.
- You must, unless otherwise agreed to by Edmonton Transit in writing, at all times present and identify the Data with the following legend, prominently displayed (but not necessarily on each page or view): "Route and arrival data used in this product or service is provided by permission of Edmonton Transit. Edmonton Transit assumes no responsibility for the accuracy or currency of the Data used in this product or service. (“The Legend”). Other than displaying the Legend, you are not authorized and are prohibited from, making use of Edmonton Transit’s domain name or any trade-marks or official marks, which are owned by Edmonton Transit or any confusingly similar variation of the domain name or those marks.
- The Data is provided to you on "as is" and "as available" basis, without any express or implied warranty of any kind, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Under no circumstances will Edmonton Transit be liable for any direct or indirect damages, even if Edmonton Transit is aware of the possibility of such damages, including without limitation damages, loss of profits or for any other special, economic loss, consequential, exemplary or incidental damages, however caused, whether based upon contract, including negligence, strict liability in tort, warranty or contractual claims, or any other legal theory, arising out of or related to your use of the Data. You agree with Edmonton Transit that this limitation should apply even if it the Data, is faulty or inaccurate or otherwise fails. You agree that the use of the Data is at your own risk, and you assume the risk that the Data may provide incorrect information to you or your users, as well as the risk that the Data may cause loss of data or damage to your computer system.
- You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Edmonton Transit and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against all demands, claims, causes of action, suits, actions or proceedings, or liabilities of any kind or of any nature arising out of or in connection with your use or distribution of the Data to any end user.
- These Terms sets forth the entire agreement between you and Edmonton Transit and supersedes all previous discussions, representations and agreements between you and Edmonton Transit, whether written or oral, and may be amended only with the written consent of Edmonton Transit. These Terms may be amended by Edmonton Transit and you are deemed to agree to any such amended Terms once such Terms are posted on this website.
