Centennial Garage

Located at Ellerslie Road and 156 Street, the new Centennial Garage houses routes which provide service primarily to neighbourhoods in west and southwest Edmonton  (some of Edmonton's fastest growing communities) , as well as Downtown. The Centennial Garage project budget of $99 million received $89.3 million through the provincial government’s Municipal Sustainability Initiative (MSI). The new garage, which opened on April 10, 2010, will provide bus service that complements and supports the extension of LRT to Century Park.

At over 300,000 sq ft. (approximately 5 football fields), it is the largest ETS facility, with room to house over 250 buses, taking the pressure off the city's three existing, overcrowded transit garages. Centennial is the city's first garage designed to handle Edmonton's 13 articulated buses, with a special hoist than can lift the 20-metre, three - axled vehicles.
