Along LRT System

New LRT Art Mural (from August 2002 In Transit)

ETS has added another fabulous work of art to our LRT system.

A giant aerosol mural has just been installed on the north wall of the LRT portal at 95 Street and 105 Avenue. "A Walk Through the Universe" was created live during The Works Visual Arts Festival, June 21 - July 3 by local graffiti artists Clayton Lowe, Matthew Brunning, Shannon Kelly, Shane Burni, Mike Debruin, Chris Fenske, Dustin Poole and Trevor Peters.

The mural is 160 feet long and eight feet high. The team used over 400 12 oz. cans of aerosol paint to create the images of space, time, and life in the universe.

We're delighted to be involved in the first public graffiti art mural project in Edmonton. This living mural has an additional 140 feet of opportunity for other graffiti artists in the community to add their images.

"A Walk Through the Universe" was produced under the Art & Design in Public Places Program in partnership with ETS, Transportation & Streets Department and The Works Visual Arts Festival.
