Public engagement activities, history and reports helping to guide the rezoning proposal in the Oliver neighbourhood.

About the Proposal

The proposed rezoning and associated road closure would close a portion of the access lane north of 9930 111 Street NW. The applications are intended to allow for a 23-storey residential tower with up to 178 units, within 200m of the Grandin LRT station.

The Oliver Area Redevelopment Plan would also be amended to enable the proposed rezoning.

April 10, 2018

The public was invited to an open house information session at Oliver School Gymnasium to learn more about the proposed rezoning and to provide feedback. Feedback will be summarized in a report to City Council before it goes to Public Hearing for a final decision.

An open house was held in Oliver School. Thirty-one citizens attended this meeting.

City Processing

January 11, 2017

City sent notices to surrounding property owners and the Oliver Community League.

December 5, 2016

City circulated application to City departments and utility agencies for technical review.

November 21, 2016

The City of Edmonton accepted this application.

September 23, 2016

Applicant sent out pre-application notices to surrounding property owners and the Oliver Community League to seek initial feedback on the application.

September 12, 2016

Applicant had pre-consultation meeting with Oliver Community League Civics Committee.
