A planning application (map) has been received for an area north of 17 Avenue NW and west of 25 Street NW.
The application proposes to rezone the area from Direct Development Control Provision (DC1) to an updated Direct Development Control Provision (DC1). The current DC1 zoning allows for "reverse housing," where development on a site does not face onto a public roadway, and vehicle access is provided from a public lane.
The proposed DC1 zoning keeps most of the regulations and intent, but modifies the specific regulations for garages, required parking (reducing the minimum number from 4 stalls to 3), and allows for both tandem and parallel parking.
