A planning application (map) has been made to rezone a portion of 2531 170 Street SW.
The current zoning is Agricultural Zone (AG). The proposed zoning is for Residential Small Lot Zone (RSL) to allow for single detached housing and Metropolitan Recreation Zone (A) to allow for the preservation of a portion of the Whitemud Creek Ravine.
The proposal meets the intent of the Glenridding Ravine Neighbourhood Structure Plan and the North Saskatchewan River Valley Area Redevelopment Plan, which designate this area for single/semi-detached residential, top-of-bank shared use path and environmental reserve.
