Four City of Edmonton skateparks were identified as a priority and funded for construction in 2017. The City of Edmonton worked closely with the Lorac Construction Ltd. to build a construction schedule for the four rehabilitation projects that considers environmental and user impacts, as well as efficient sequencing of the projects.

Construction Update: Construction is underway. Anticipated full completion by May 31, 2017.
Date: May 23 to June 30 2017*
Construction Update: Construction is scheduled to begin May 23. Partial user access will be permitted in the upper north portion of the skatepark during construction. The lower south portion area will be completely closed during construction.
Access will be reconsidered at different stages of the construction schedule. Skaters are asked to respect the construction site signage and barriers to ensure quality and timely completion of the rehabilitation work.

Completed Structural condition evaluations for Callingwood, Castle Downs and Kaskitayo.
Received funding approval to proceed with Design and required construction rehabilitation for all four skatepark sites including Callingwood, Mill Woods, Castle Downs and Kaskitayo.
Structural condition evaluation for the Mill Woods Skatepark completed that included recommendations for repairs.
