Over May and June 2017, the Community and Recreation Facility Master Plan team engaged Edmontonians in a variety of ways, including an online survey, community group surveys, focus and discussion groups, interviews and at pop-up events held at various locations in the city. We are actively compiling the feedback and will share results as soon as able.
In the fall of 2016, the City held multiple sessions with several communities of interest to ask 3 questions: what's working well? what's not? and what do you envision for the future? These engagement sessions provided rich input that is helping to build the guiding principles of the new Master Plan.
In August 2016, the Community and Recreation Facility Master Plan team did intercept surveys where people gathered: at farmers’ markets, festivals, concerts, public events and on Edmonton transit. We asked if our city’s current public recreation facilities are working well, along with what could be changed or improved. We also connected with various communities of interest to understand what was important to them. More than 3,000 Edmontonians provided their input!
