Construction Updates

In order to facilitate construction on new boat docks and launch locations at Dawson Park, Hawrelak Park and Laurier Park, a section of trees at each location, beginning with Laurier and Hawrelak parks, will be removed. Removal of the trees at all three locations will be wrapped up by March 9, 2018. City-owned trees are a highly valued asset and are only removed when all other preservation options are unsuitable.

Construction on most of the boat docks and launch locations will begin in spring 2018.

Construction of Whitemud Park will begin once an alternate site is found upstream of Whitemud Creek.

Construction of Emily Murphy Park will be done as part of the Groat Road Bridges project once bridge rehabilitation is complete.
