Staff have planned several phases of public engagement and outreach which started in late 2017. At the end of each phase, the project team will report back on input that was received.

Project themes/objectives were shared with the public. Perspectives shared during this workshop helped refine the project objectives. Staff are considering the priorities identified by residents and stakeholders as part of the redevelopment’s overall design.

The City engaged the public to collect ideas informing the creation of concept design options. Perspectives shared during this workshop helped staff evaluate, assess and refine the land use elements as they created redevelopment design options.
Sharing Concept Designs: Summer 2018
Concept design options will be shared with the public. Feedback gathered will help staff evaluate and refine the options and determine a preferred design.
Refining the Preferred Design: Fall 2018
In this final round of engagement, a preferred concept will be shared with the public. Feedback gathered will help staff refine this concept.
Presenting the Business Plan Report to City Council: Late 2018
A refined preferred concept and supporting report will be presented to Urban Planning Committee in early 2019 for potential funding in the next budget cycle (2019-2022).
